RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE SAN CARLOS SCHOOL DISTRICT, BURLINGAME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, CABRILLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND THE SAN MATEO-FOSTER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
JUNE 3, 2003

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Governing Body of the San Carlos School District adopted Resolution No.09:02/03 calling for a special tax measure to be submitted to the voters of the San Carlos School District, the Governing Body of the Burlingame Elementary School District adopted Resolution No. 2002/03-15 calling for a special tax measure to be submitted to the voters of the Burlingame Elementary School District, the Governing Body of the Cabrillo Unified School District adopted Resolution No. 7-03 calling for a special tax measure to be submitted to the voters of the Cabrillo Unified School District, and the Governing Body of the San Mateo-Foster City School District adopted Resolution No. 10/02-03 calling for a special tax measure to be submitted to the voters of the San Mateo-Foster City School District; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this election; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing election services to the San Carlos School District, Burlingame Elementary School District, Cabrillo Unified School District, and the San Mateo-Foster City School District; and

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the San Carlos School District, Burlingame Elementary School District, Cabrillo Unified School District, and the San Mateo-Foster City School District will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the June 3, 2003 Special Election.
