RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME AND THE EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency submitted a proposal to the California Department of Fish and Game and to the Employment Development Department to provide job training and other support services to workers in San Mateo County dislocated as a result of the downturn in the ground fish industry; and

WHEREAS, the proposal was accepted by the California Department of Fish and Game and the Employment Development Department, and a grant was awarded to San Mateo County in the amount of $48,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board desires to accept this grant.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED, the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to accept the grant from the California Department of Fish and Game and the Employment Development Department for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and authorizes the Human Services Agency Director or her designee to execute all necessary documents in connection with the grant.
