BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORIA, DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES TO THE DISABLED POPULATION IN SAN MATEO COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE FUTURE AMENDMENTS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency and the State of California, Department of Rehabilitation have joined in partnership and developed an Agreement for the rehabilitation of consumers with disabilities in San Mateo County; and

 

WHEREAS, this Agreement will provide vocational assessment, employment preparation, job development and placement services for populations with significant disabilities and psychiatric disabilities not receiving services from County Mental Health; and

 

WHEREAS, it is expedient and appropriate for the Director of the Human Services Agency to execute future amendments for the completion of this program, it is hereby requested that the Director of the Human Services Agency be given authorization to sign future amendments to this Agreement to accept increases in funding and program changes as requested by the State of California, Department of Rehabilitation; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors acknowledges the benefits and responsibilities to be shared by both parties to said Agreement, and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of this Agreement and has examined, and approved it as to both form and content, and, desires to enter into same.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Human Services Agency Director be authorized to execute documents necessary for the implementation of the Agreement as well as amendments to this Agreement that would increase funding received from the Department of Rehabilitation and/or changes in the program.
