RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STRATEGIC PLAN FOR SAN MATEO COUNTY ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG SERVICES FOR 2003/2004

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency, Alcohol and Other Drug Services, began a new strategic planning process in May 2002; and

WHEREAS, the Strategic Plan for San Mateo County Alcohol and Other Drug Services for 2003/2004 is the culmination of the energy and commitment of numerous individuals who provided input to the planning process through meetings and community forums, and participation of key stakeholder groups, including the Alcohol and Other Drug/Tobacco Prevention Program Policy Team, the Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board, Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment and Prevention providers and Alcohol and Other Drug Services staff; and

WHEREAS, the strategic directions derived from this process address service gaps and needs and propose action steps we can take in order to move towards a healthier community; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a final copy of the Strategic Plan for San Mateo County Alcohol and Other Drug Services for 2003/2004, and has reviewed and approved it and desires to accept the Strategic Plan for San Mateo County Alcohol and Other Drug Services for 2003/2004.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors on behalf of the County of San Mateo hereby accepts the Strategic Plan for San Mateo County Alcohol and Other Drug Services for 2003/2004.
