COMMENDING AND HONORING

   

SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO

   

UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM

THE DALY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California that POLICE SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO has retired from the Daly City Police Department after thirty-three years of dedicated service in law enforcement; and

   
 

WHEREAS, SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO was ranked number one out of thirty-nine recruits at the San Mateo Police Academy; and

   
 

WHEREAS, SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO has earned an Associate of Arts Degree from the College of San Mateo, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of San Francisco, a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the College of Notre Dame, has completed training at the FBI National Academy and has effectively shared his knowledge of law enforcement by instructing Criminal Justice at Skyline College; and

   
 

WHEREAS, SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO has received numerous commendations from the Daly City Police Department and has been rewarded for his dedication to public service with several letters from people he has helped and consoled over the years; and

   
 

WHEREAS, SERGEANT STEVEN AURILIO has exemplified throughout his career what it means to be a Police Officer, by offering tireless dedication to his work and serving as a consistent role model for future members of the Daly City Police Department to follow.

 
 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, does hereby join his wife Ginger, his daughter Jill, and his son Jonathan in honoring his commitment to law enforcement and wishing him the best in his retirement.
