Resolution Setting a Time and Place for a Public Hearing to Consider an Agreement to Upgrade Building Mechanical System and Reduce Energy Costs - Hall of Justice and Records

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors in 1995, approved the County's participation in the Federal Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Program, a program to improve the energy efficiency of buildings; and

WHEREAS, Invensys Building Systems has performed a detailed inspection and analysis of the Hall of Justice and Records and has recommended a project to upgrade mechanical systems and reduce energy costs; and

WHEREAS, Section 4217.10 et sec. of the State of California Government Code provides that a governmental agency may enter into an agreement to install energy saving systems after considering said agreement during a regularly scheduled public hearing; and

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to consider such an agreement with Invensys Building Systems:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

This Board will conduct a public hearing during its regular scheduled meeting on
April 22, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board's Chambers in the Hall of Justice and Records at 400 County Center, Redwood City, California, to consider an agreement to upgrade building mechanical system and reduce energy costs, and

2.

The Director of Public Works shall cause notice of said public hearing to be published once in the Independent Newspaper Group, a newspaper of general circulation.
