RESOLUTION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, The State of California has Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds available for San Mateo County's Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification;

 

WHEREAS, The Board assures that the Board of Supervisors and the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council have reviewed and approves the County's Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification;

 

WHEREAS, The Board assures that the County has adhered to the requirements of the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act and the Board of Corrections regarding the submission of the Plan Modification;

 

WHEREAS, The Board assures the Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification has been developed, reviewed, and provided to the Board of Corrections not later than May 1, 2003, in a format determined by the Board of Corrections;

 

WHEREAS, The Board assures that upon approval of the County's Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification, the County will adhere to the requirements of the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (Chapters 353 and 475 of the Government Code) regarding the submission of the Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification application, investment of allocated monies, including any interest earnings, expenditures of Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act funds and the submission of required Board of Corrections reports;

 

WHEREAS, The Board authorizes the Chief Probation Officer/Chair of the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council to submit the Plan Modification application for approval to the Board of Corrections;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED That the Board of Supervisors adopts the assurances stated above and authorizes the Chief Probation Officer to submit and/or sign, on behalf of the Board, the Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan Modification and authorizes the Chief Probation Officer to execute any related contracts, amendments or extensions, provided any document requiring the expenditure of additional funds by the County will be approved by the Board.
