RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN FIXED RATE CLIENT FEES FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE PROGRAMS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations, section 9878 (a), states that Driving Under the Influence programs shall charge only the program fees and any additional fees which have been recommended by the County Alcohol and Drug Administrator and approved by the County Board of Supervisors and the State of Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs; and

WHEREAS, the County Alcohol and Drug Administrator recommends to the Board of Supervisors that the following Driving Under the Influence program client fees be approved by this Board; the Wet and Reckless Program, Two Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars ($252); the Three Month First Time Offender Program, Five Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars ($576); the Twelve Month Multiple Offender Program; One Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,550); and the Eighteen Month Multiple Offender Program, One Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($1,645); and

WHEREAS, the County Alcohol and Drug Administrator recommends that the following additional ancillary fees be established: a Five Dollar ($5) fee to support additional face-to-face counseling; a Twenty Dollar ($20) Leave of Absence Fee and a Twenty Dollar ($20) Non Enrollment Transfer Fee.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED, that the

the Board of Supervisors approves said increase in Driving Under the Influence program fees and additional Driving Under the Influence ancillary fees.
