RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT

WITH LABORATORY CORPORATION OF AMERICA

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on March 11, 2003, the County of San Mateo issued a Request for Proposals for paternity testing services and;

WHEREAS, the Department of Child Support Services received eight proposals and interviewed four finalists and;

WHEREAS, Laboratory Corporation of America was selected primarily based on prior experience, client references, cost and;

WHEREAS, an Agreement has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby Laboratory Corporation of America will provide paternity testing services for the Department of Child Support Services for the period commencing July 1, 2003 through and including June 30, 2006 and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
