RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A FOURTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND FARELLA BRAUN & MARTEL FOR LITIGATION SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County has previously contracted with Farella Braun & Martel for the provision of legal services in connection with the litigation Ted Jacob v. The Ratcliff Architects related to construction of the health center; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance of a fourth amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the maximum amount payable under the contract is increased to $2,150,000, and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such amendment and said Board has examined and approved same as both form and content and desires to enter into same:

NOW THERFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the County Counsel be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said amendment for the on behalf of the County of San Mateo.
