RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH FAMILY SERVICES AGENCY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE FAMILY LOAN PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on April 16, 2002, the Board adopted Resolution Number 66197 authorizing the Human Services Agency to enter into an Agreement with the Family Services Agency for the provisions of the Family Loan Program; and

WHEREAS, the Family Loan Program offers families a low interest loan alternative to pay unexpected expenses; and;

WHEREAS, this program has been successful in reducing time missed from work, reducing time in transit to work, increasing attendance in job related education and an average increase in monthly wages for program participants; and;

WHEREAS, both the County and the Contractor wish to amend the Agreement to extend the term for the purpose of continue the Family Loan Program using funds rolled over from FY 2002-03; and

WHEREAS this Board has been presented with a form of a First Amendment to the Agreement for the administration of the Family Loan Program and said Board having examined and approved the First Amendment to the Agreement as to form and content, and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute this First Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest his signature thereto.
