RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENTS 2003-1 AND 2003-2 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE
SAN MATEO HEALTH COMMISSION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance amendments to the agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the San Mateo Health Commission will continue to pay for Medi-Cal reimbursable hospital and medical services provided to San Mateo County Medi-Cal recipients at San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS, Amendment 2003-1 extends the term of the agreement through December 31, 2003 and changes the allocation of pool surpluses that occurred after FY2001 when HPSM had a substantial deficit while provider accounts had significant surpluses that added to the deficit; and

WHEREAS, Amendment 2003-2 changes the allocations for the physician-hospital risk pools which are contained in Exhibit 3 of San Mateo Medical Center's Medi-Cal Agreement; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Amendments to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Amendments to the Agreement:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendments to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
