AMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND |
WHEREAS, the term of the current Memorandum of Understanding between the County and the Organization of Sheriff’s Sergeants concludes on October 7, 2006 and permits reopeners to negotiate specified matters within specified years; and |
WHEREAS, the Organization of Sheriff’s Sergeants entered into negotiations and agreement has been reached on the reopener for 2003; and, |
WHEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: |
1. Paragraphs 15.2 and 15.3 shall be amended to substitute the figure $275 for $250. |
2. Section 15 shall be amended to add paragraph 15.8 which reads as follows: |
15.8 All retirees have the option to increase the number of hours of sick leave that can be converted to either health coverage or dental coverage (but not both) under paragraphs 15.2 and 15.3 in one-hour increments above 8 hours to a maximum of 14 hours at the rate of $34.37 per hour under paragraph 15.2(1) and $15.62 per hour under paragraph 15.2(2). This election to convert additional hours can occur during Open Enrollment or at a time of change of family status to convert additional hours per month based on the $275 or $125 per month rate. |
