RESOLUTION ORDERING THE TRANSFER OF TERRITORY FROM THE SAN MATEO-FOSTER CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO THE HILLSBOROUGH CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County Committee on School District Organization approved transfer of approximately three (3) acres of physical property marked lots one through five of Yew Street at Clydsdale Drive, Hillsborough, from being all or partially within the San Mateo-Foster City School District to being completely within the Hillsborough City School District on May 6, 2003; and;

 

WHEREAS, no subsequent election was required, pursuant to subdivision (b)(1) of Education Code section 35709, and;

 

WHEREAS, upon receipt by this Board of Supervisors of such certification of approval of the transfer as provided by law, the Board of Supervisors shall make an order to change the boundaries of the affected school districts as provided in Education Code section 35765, which Order shall be effective on July 1 of the calendar year following the calendar year in which the Board of Supervisors makes an order to change boundaries of the above-mentioned school districts.;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo as follows:

 

1. The property described and shown in Exhibit A attached hereto is transferred from the San Mateo-Foster City School District to the Hillsborough City School District, effective July 1, 2004;

 

2. This Resolution and Order shall be entered in the County’s records of school districts;

 

3. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to the following agencies: County Assessor, County Controller, County Tax Collector-Treasurer, County Public Works Department, San Mateo-Foster City School District, Hillsborough City School District, County Superintendent of Schools, County Committee on School District Organization and the State Board of Education; and

 

4. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby directed to prepare and file the necessary papers with the State Board of Equalization and to pay any required filing fee in order to finalize the change of boundaries.
