RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE JEFFERSON UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR COMPREHENSIVE YEAR-ROUND EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING RELATED SERVICES TO YOUTH DURING FY 2003-04.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2000, the Board of Supervisors authorized the execution of an Agreement with the Jefferson Union High School District to provide a Comprehensive Year-Round Employment and Training Related Services program for FY 2001-02, for Out-of-School youth who were eligible for services under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA); and

WHEREAS, the Agreement has been amended on two previous occasions to add Pathways for Success Program for In-School Youth, increase the amount and extend the term; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the Jefferson Union High School District wish to further amend the Agreement to continue to provide the Pathways for Success Program for In-School Youth and Tools for Success Program for Out-of-School Youth during FY 2003-04; and
|
|
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for it consideration and acceptance a Third Amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby services will be provided by Jefferson Union High School District and the amount of the Third Amendment shall be $175,000 for a total contract obligation of $972,231; and
|
|
WHEREAS, such services will conform to all WIA requirements; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved this Third Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

|
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Third Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest his signature thereto.
