BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

San Mateo County Youth Services Center, Project No. P7T01

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on October 22, 2002 the Board of Supervisors authorized the County Manager's Office to execute an agreement with Turner Construction Co. to provide construction management, architectural and engineering services for the San Mateo County Youth Services Center, San Mateo, CA; and

WHEREAS, on December 3, 2002 the Board of Supervisors approved the Master Plan and subsequent revisions have been approved by the Youth Services Center Executive Committee; and

WHEREAS, Paul T. Scannell, Assistant County Manager, has certified that the preliminary plans and specifications are complete and recommends the bidding process begin;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to approve the preliminary plans and specifications of the San Mateo County Youth Services Center; authorize the design to be completed; authorize the prequalification of contractors and publication of a Notice to Contractors twice in a local newspaper; and authorize the Assistant County Manager to call for bids and to set the bid opening date, time and place for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
