Second Amendment to Lease with City of Daly City for H.S.A. Office Space in Daly City, Lease No. 1217

 

Recommendation
Adopt a Resolution which would authorize the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute a Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement with the City of Daly City for office space at 350- 90th Street, Daly City.

 

Background
The City of Daly City leases the County space in a building at 350-90th Street, which is currently occupied by Medi-Cal, Northern Region Administration of Health Services Agency, and Child Protective Services. Additional space in the building is needed for Child Protective Services.

 

Discussion
A Second Amendment to the Lease Agreement has been negotiated.
The City of Daly City has offered to lease 173 square feet of space on the first floor of the building at the same rate being paid for other space which the County presently occupies. Other terms will be the same as the original Lease Agreement.

The Northern Regional Director of Health Services Agency concurs with this recommendation. County Counsel has reviewed and approved the amendment as to form.

 

Vision Alignment

The Second Amendment keeps the commitment of responsive, effective and collaborative government and goal number 22: County and local governments effectively communicate, collaborate and develop strategic approaches to issues affecting the entire County.

 

Fiscal Impact
The 173 square feet will rent for $1.88 per square foot per month or $325 per month. Rental costs will be included in the 2003-04 budget year.
