Resolution Authorizing the President of the Board to Execute a Grant Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration Dated August 29, 2003, for the San Carlos Airport. AIP Project No. 3-06-0210-08, Contract No. DTFA08-03-C-31429

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has offered the County a Grant in the amount of $1,002,000.00 for fencing and security upgrades, pavement and drainage rehabilitation, automated weather reporting and safety improvements at the San Carlos Airport; and;

WHEREAS, as a condition of receiving these grant funds, the FAA requires the County to enter into an agreement which provides the conditions governing the use of said grant funds by the County; and;

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed said agreement and considered same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

1.

the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to sign said grant agreement dated August 29, 2003, on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and

2.

the Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to attest to the signature of the President of this Board to said agreement.
