RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SOR JUANA INES CENTER FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION (SJICDVP) FOR PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES FROM OCTOBER 1, 2002 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2005

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on October 22, 2002, the parties entered into an Agreement for domestic violence prevention services; and

WHEREAS, on May 6, 2003, the parties entered into a First Amendment to the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend the Agreement to fund a newly created position currently under development in collaboration with Violence in Families Initiative Program (VIP) Task Force and extend the term; and

WHEREAS, SJICDVP provides Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention Services to battered women and their children; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Second Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved the same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
