BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEASTERLY CORNER OF BAY ROAD AND HOLLAND STREET IN THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO IS NO LONGER NECESSARY FOR COUNTY PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County acquired the property at the southeasterly corner of Bay Road and Holland Street in the City of East Palo Alto, more particularly described as Assessor's Parcel 062-222-180 and County-Owned Property Number 2031, from the State of California, and;

 

WHEREAS, the County has determined that the property is not necessary for County use, and;

 

WHEREAS, Section 25365 of the California Government Code provides that a transfer of title of a piece of real property between a county and a city may be approved by a resolution adopted by at least a 4/5th vote of the Board of Supervisors;

 

WHEREAS, a quitclaim of any interest in the property would clarify that the property is a City asset;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1) the property at the southeasterly corner of Bay Road and Holland Street in the City of East Palo Alto, more particularly described as Assessor's Parcel 062-222-180, is no longer needed for County purposes, and;

2) the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed to the City of East Palo Alto conveying title to said County-Owned property for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
