RESOLUTION AMENDING ORDER TRANSFERING TERRITORY FROM THE LA HONDA PESCADERO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO THE PORTOLA VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County Committee on School District Organization approved transfer of forty-two (42) acres of physical property at 211 Rapley Ranch Road, La Honda from the La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District to the Portola Valley Elementary School District and the Sequoia Union High School District on November 28, 2000; and,

WHEREAS, no subsequent election was required, pursuant to Education Code section 35709; and,

WHEREAS, upon receipt by this Board of Supervisors of such certification of approval of the transfer as provided by law, the Board of Supervisors shall make an order to change the boundaries of the affected school districts as provided in Education Code section 35765 which Order shall be effective on July 1 of the calendar year following the calendar year in which the Board of Supervisors makes an order to change boundaries of the above-mentioned school districts; and,

WHEREAS, on June 4, 2002, the Board of Supervisors ordered said transfer by adopting Resolution 65302, wherein reference to Sequoia Union High School District was omitted and there existed a clerical error regarding this transfer.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo as follows:

This Resolution shall amend the following portion of Resolution 65302 to read as follows and in the appropriate WHEREAS clause, add reference to the Sequoia Union High School District as one of the Districts to which the transfer was made.

	1.	The property described and shown in Exhibit A attached hereto is transferred from the La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District to the Portola Valley Elementary School District and Sequoia Union High School District, effective July 1, 2002;

	2.	This Resolution and Order shall be entered in the County's Records of School Districts;

	3.	A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to the following agencies: County Assessor, County Controller, County Tax Collector-Treasurer, County Public Works Department, La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District, Portola Valley Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County Superintendent of Schools, County Committee on School District Organization and the State Board of Education; and

	4.	The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby directed to prepare and file the necessary papers with the State Board of Equalization and to pay any required filing fee in order to finalize the change of boundaries.
