RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA FOR SUPPORT OF THE COOPERATIVE EXTENSION PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County has established and continued a cooperative relationship with the University of California since 1944 for the support of Cooperative Extension educational programs and wishes to maintain this relationship;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an MOU, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the University of California shall provide educational and applied research services to the residents of San Mateo County in the areas of Agriculture, 4-H Youth Development, Nutrition Education, Marine Science and Landscape Horticulture/Urban Forestry;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with this MOU and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the MOU;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into such MOU for an on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
