NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

(GOVERNMENT CODE ''54954.3, 54956)

 

Please take notice that the President of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, acting pursuant to the authority of Government Code '54956, hereby calls a special meeting of the Board of Supervisors to take place on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 9:00 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors chambers, located at 400 County Center, Redwood City, California 94063.

The special meeting is for the purpose of discussing and transacting the following business:

1.

Adopt a resolution (066168) authorizing the County Manager to enter into contracts not to exceed $5,000,000 for the 90-day interim operation of the Burlingame HealthCare Center.

   

2.

Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) (066169) for the San Mateo Medical Center in the amount of $5,000,000, increasing Other Financing Sources from the Capital Reserve Fund and Available Fund Balance, and appropriating funds in Services and Supplies and Fixed Assets for the 90-day interim operation of the Burlingame HealthCare Center.

Pursuant to Government Code '54954.3, members of the public will have the opportunity to directly address the Board of Supervisors concerning the above-mentioned business before or during the consideration of the item.

 

This notice is to be delivered to each member of the Board of Supervisors, and to each local newspaper of general circulation and radio or television station previously requesting such notice in writing. The notice shall be delivered personally or by other means, and shall be received at least 24 hours before the time of the meeting as specified in this notice.
