RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF (1) A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SOR JUANA INES CENTER FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION (SJICDVP) FOR PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES (2) TO EXTEND THE TERM TO JUNE 30, 2005 (3) AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE MINOR MODIFICATION OF SERVICES AND TERMS AS APPLICABLE AND ADJUST FUNDS UP TO $25,000 TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Agreement has been amended on two previous occasions for the purpose of allowing SJICDVP to use funds to purchase a transitional housing for victims of domestic violence and for the purpose of increasing the amount; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further amend the Agreement for the purpose of using the funds from the First Amendment to rent the housing units as opposed to buying the units for the victims of domestic violence; and

WHEREAS, it is being requested that the Director of the Human Services Agency be authorized to execute any future amendments to allow minor modification of services and terms as applicable and adjust funds up to $25,000 to complete the project; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Third Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved the same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Third Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

BE IT FURTHER DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Human Services Agency Director be authorized to execute future amendments through the term of the Agreement.
