RESOLUTION TERMINATING AN OLD MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A NEW MOU BETWEEN THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD AND THE PENINSULAWORKS ONE-STOP CAREER CENTER PARTNERS AND AUTHORIZING THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND/OR THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD CHAIR TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT PLAN CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS TO THE MOU

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on November 7, 2000, the Board of Supervisors authorized the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Workforce Investment Board and the PeninsulaWorks One-Stop Career Center Partners outlining the responsibilities of the partners and the activities of the PeninsulaWorks One-Stop Career Centers; and

WHEREAS, some of the partners have changed and it is necessary to update the MOU to include follow-up activities for the purpose of reporting performance; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to terminate the old MOU authorized by Resolution Number 64053 for the purpose of entering into a new MOU; and

WHEREAS, it is expedient, efficient and appropriate for the Workforce Development Manager and/or the Workforce Investment Board Chair execute subsequent plan changes and modifications to the MOU; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors had been presented with MOU and said Board has examined and wishes to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said MOU for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto, and that the previous Agreement is terminated and notification of termination shall be given by the Human Services Agency Director.

BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the Workforce Development Manager and/or the Workforce Investment Board Chair be authorized to execute subsequent plan changes and modifications to the MOU.
