RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REAL PROPERTY SERVICES MANAGER TO CAST AFFIRMATIVE BALLOTS IN SUPPORT OF AN ASSESSMENT FOR THE SAN MATEO COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo owns 320 parcels within the jurisdiction of the proposed expansion of the San Mateo County Mosquito Abatement District; and

WHEREAS, each owner of each parcel within the district is authorized to cast a ballot as to whether there should be an assessment to support the expansion of services provided by the District; and

WHEREAS, the assessment would increase the provision of valuable public services to underserved areas; and

WHEREAS, it is therefore in the best interest of the County of San Mateo to vote affirmatively on all ballots corresponding to County owned parcels within the District, a list of which is attached hereto.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that on or before December 18, 2003 the Real Property Services Manager is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the County, to cast a vote in favor of the proposed assessment for every ballot received for County owned property located within the Mosquito Abatement District.
