Resolution Authorizing that County Vendor Agreement No. B303039 be Extended in Term until June 2, 2006, and that the Not-to-Exceed Amount of Said Agreement be Increased to $423,000 - Disposal of Material at Ox Mountain Landfill

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County entered into Vendor Agreement No. B303039 (Agreement) with Browning and Ferris, Inc. (BFI), which provides for the disposal of material at BFI's Ox Mountain Landfill; and

WHEREAS, it is anticipated that channel maintenance work in San Bruno Creek and Colma Creek over the next two years will require the disposal of material at Ox Mountain in an amount that is greater than what is provided for in said Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Employee and Public Services and the Director of Public Works have recommended that said Agreement be extended and the not-to-exceed amount of said agreement be increased to account for the disposal of material from the channel maintenance work in San Bruno and Colma Creeks; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Employee and Public Services and the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED, that the term of Vendor Agreement No. B303039 with Browning and Ferris, Inc., which provides for the disposal of material at the Ox Mountain Landfill is hereby extended until June 2, 2006, and the not-to-exceed amount of said agreement is hereby increased to $423,000.
