RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SAN MATEO COUNTY CENTRAL LABOR COUNCIL TO EXTEND THE DAVID AND LUCILE PACKARD GRANT PROJECT AND CORRECT THE PAYMENT SECTION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, On September 24, 2002, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution number 65583 authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency to enter into Agreements with subcontractors funded through the 25% Governor's Discretionary Fund; and

WHEREAS, the County and Contractor entered into an Agreement on September 1, 2002 for the purpose of providing employment and training services to displaced workers; and

WHEREAS, this Agreement has been amended on two previous occasions to extend the term and increase the amount for the purpose of continuing services to displaced workers; and

WHEREAS, the County has been approved to extend the term of the David and Lucile Grant Project to April 30, 2004; and

WHEREAS, both parties wish to further amend the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of this Third Amendment and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Third Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
