RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH YOUTH AND FAMILY ENRICHMENT SERVICES AND EXTERN THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT
FROM JULY 1, 2003 TO JUNE 30, 2007

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Youth and Family Enrichment Services (YFES), reference to which is hereby made for further particulars. YFES is a community-based agency committed to providing services in Delinquency Prevention, Outreach, Transitional Assistance, Aftercare and Placements to the San Mateo County Community; and

WHEREAS, the parties entered into an Agreement on July 15, 2003, to provide Delinquency Prevention, Outreach, Transitional Assistance, Aftercare and Placements to the San Mateo County Community; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance this Amendment to the Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, for the continuation of services for FY 2004-07, and the parties wish to enter into this Amendment to add funds in the amount of $541,045 for FY 2004-05, bringing a new total amount of the Agreement to $1,058,090, and funding for future Fiscal Years will be negotiated and reflected in a form of an amendment and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
