RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BRAUNER COMPANY FOR FISCAL YEARS 2004-2007

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Aging and Adult Services Division shall provide a Public Guardian/Conservatorship Program, which serves frail elderly, physically, and/or mentally disabled residents who are substantially unable to provide for their own personal needs of health, food, clothing or shelter and/or are unable to manage financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence;

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide financial management services for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2007, for a total obligation of $525,000:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement with The Brauner Company for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Health Services is hereby authorized to execute subsequent Amendments and minor modifications to the Agreement with The Brauner Company, not to exceed the aggregate of $25,000 for the term of the Agreement.
