RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE PORTOLA VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE RAVENSWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, MARCH 2, 2004

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Governing Body of the Portola Valley Elementary School District adopted Resolution #11 giving notice of holding a Special Election on Tuesday, March 2, 2004, for the purpose of submitting a special tax measure to the voters of the District and requesting the Board of Supervisors to render specified services to the Portola Valley Elementary School District relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to State Law, the Governing Body of the Ravenswood City School District adopted Resolution No. 796 giving notice of holding a Special Election on Tuesday, March 2, 2004, for the purpose of submitting a special tax measure to the voters of the District and requesting the Board of Supervisors to render specified services to the Ravenswood City School District relating to the conduct of the Special Election; and

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this Election; and

 

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing election services to the Portola Valley Elementary School District and the Ravenswood City School District; and

 

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the Portola Valley Elementary School District and the Ravenswood City School District will reimburse the County for the costs of these services and supplies.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED
that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the March 2, 2004 Presidential Primary Election.
