Resolution Setting a Time and Date of a Public Hearing to Consider the Report of Costs and the Levying of Assessments for the El Granada Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project - Mid-Coast Area (Projects No. R6F00, R6G00 and R6H00 - F-36 [231])

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors did, on July 11, 2000 and September 12, 2000, adopt Resolutions No. 63758 and 63913, respectively, which authorized the Director of Public Works to complete plans and specifications, and to notify property owners of this Board's intent to complete plans and levy assessments for the El Granada Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project - Paloma, San Carlos, Escalona, Navarra, Ferdinand and San Juan Avenues - in the El Granada Area of the MidCoast; and

 

WHEREAS, the subject improvements have been completed and the Director of Public Works has prepared a report specifying the work which has been done, the cost of construction, a description of the real property in front of which the work was done and the amount of the assessment for each parcel as previously determined by this Board pursuant to Section 53750 et. seq. of the Government Code; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board has fully complied with the notice, protest and hearing requirements imposed by Government Code Section 53750 et. seq. (Proposition 218 Implementation Act) and Article XIIID of the State Constitution; and

 

WHEREAS, the subject improvements have been completed and the Director of Public Works has prepared a report attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which specifies the work which has been done, the cost of construction, a description of the real property in front of which the work was done and the amount of the assessment for each parcel as previously determined by this Board pursuant to Section 53750 et. seq. of the Government Code; and

 

WHEREAS, a public hearing pursuant to Section 5870 et. seq. of the Streets and Highways Code is required to allow this Board to hear and consider the report prepared by the Director of Public Works and to hear any and all objections to said assessments as previously described.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

This Board hereby sets Tuesday, the 24th day of February 2004, at the hour of 9:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, in the Hall of Justice and Records, 400 County Center (formerly 401 Marshall Street), Redwood City, California, as the date, time and place of a hearing where this Board will hear and consider the report prepared by the Director of Public Works and to hear any and all objections to said assessments proposed to be levied on property in front of which improvements were constructed.

The Director of Public Works shall cause a notice to be given to all property owners proposed to be assessed which notice shall specify the date, hour and place of said hearing together with a summary of the assessments proposed to be assessed to the properties. Said notice shall be sent at least ten (10) days prior the public hearing.
