RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK FOR THE OPERATION OF THE BROWN BAG PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Second Harvest Food Bank shall operate the Brown Bag Program in accordance with the California Department of Aging and/or state licensing regulations and the standards and requirements established by the Aging and Adult Services Division of San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to enter into the Agreement to provide the Brown Bag Program in the amount $23,424 for a term of January 1 through June 30, 2004; and,

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement with Second Harvest Food Bank for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Health Services is hereby authorized to execute subsequent Amendments and minor modifications to this Agreement with Second Harvest Food Bank not to exceed the aggregate of $25,000 for the term of the agreement.
