RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEM (EDS) FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE SERVICE MANAGEMENT RESOURCE TRACKING (SMART) SYSTEM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 26, 2001, the Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement in the amount of $110,000 with Electronic Data System (EDS) for the purpose of SMART Maintenance; and

WHEREAS, on June 25, 2002, the Board of Supervisors approved a First Amendment to increase the amount by $125,000 and extend the term the Agreement to June 30, 2005; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to increase the amount by $194,800, for a total obligation of $429,800; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Second Amendment to the Agreement, and said Board has examined and approved it as to content and form, and desires to enter into the Second Amendment.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
