RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE FEBRUARY 25, 2003 AGREEMENT WITH DELOITTE & TOUCHE LLP (NOW KNOWN AS DELOITTE CONSULTING LLP) FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder desires to maintain compliance with County's highest technological standards while enhancing its electronic government capabilities; and

WHEREAS, on February 25, 2003, County entered into an agreement with Deloitte & Touche LLP for a fixed number of staff hours to provide technical findings, recommendations, and project management services for the period ending June 30, 2003, for an amount not to exceed $160,000; and

WHEREAS, circumstances beyond the control of either party have delayed completion of portions of that agreement; and

WHEREAS, effective December 28, 2003, Deloitte & Touche LLP changed its name to Deloitte Consulting LLP, and in all other respects continues to perform existing agreements; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a First Amendment to the February 25, 2003 Agreement (reference to which is hereby made for further particulars) to extend the term through June 30, 2004 for no additional cost; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has examined and approved said First Amendment as to both form and content and desires to approve it;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said First Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
