NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:
1. The Board of Supervisors approves the amended Conflict of Interest Code of Laguna Salada Union School District.
2. The Terms of 2 Cal. Admin. Code section 18730 and amendments to it duly adopted by the Fair Political Practices Commission are hereby incorporated by reference and, along with the list of designated employees and disclosure categories for Laguna Salada Union School District, shall constitute a Conflict of Interest Code.
3. Any newly designated employee shall file an initial (assuming office) statement within 30 days of the date which the County Clerk notifies the agency of the amendment of its Code.
4. Any employee in the positions that are no longer designated shall file a leaving office statement within 30 days of the date which the County Clerk notifies the agency of the amendment of its Code.
5. Any designated employees who are not affected by this amendment shall continue to file annual statements.
6. Each designated employee shall file all Statements of Economic Interests with the employees' agency. The agency shall make and retain a copy and forward the original to the County Clerk. The County Clerk shall be the official responsible for receiving and retaining Statements of Economic Interests.
7. The agency head, after consultation with the legal counsel, shall determine which consultants must comply with the disclosure requirements of the agency's Conflict of Interest Code. The agency head shall give written notice to any consultant who is required to file Statements of Economic Interests. No consultant may participate in any decision in which the consultant has a financial interest, whether or not the consultant is required to file Statements of Economic Interests.
