RESOLUTION NO. 617-C AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR AND/OR THE MANAGER OF HOUSING OPERATIONS TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR OPERATING SUBSIDY TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR THE FISAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2005

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority owns and operates two public housing developments known as Midway Village and El Camino Village; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development makes operating subsidy available to assist housing authorities with the operation of public housing; and

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority desires to prepare and submit an application for the operating subsidy for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2005 for both developments; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires a Resolution by the Board of Commissioners authorizing the submission of the application; and

WHEREAS, this Board agrees with the need to file an application for operating subsidy.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT: The Director of the Office of Housing and/or the Manager of Housing Operations are authorized to submit an application for operating subsidy for Fiscal Year 2004-05 and to sign any documents required by this U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to complete the application process.
