RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND MACIAS, GINI AND COMPANY LLP

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on March 11, 2003, the Board of Supervisors entered into an Agreement with Macias, Gini and Company LLP to provide auditing services for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2003, 2004 and 2005;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an amendment to the Agreement with Macias, Gini and Company LLP increasing the contract amount by $40,000, for a new total contract amount of $965,995 to cover costs associated with adding two major programs to the Single Audit and changing the original scope for the San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) audit;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said amendment in the amount of $40,000 for and on behalf of San Mateo County, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest his signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Manager is hereby authorized to execute minor amendments and modifications to the Agreement not to exceed $25,000.
