Resolution Authorizing the Erection of Stop Signs on Nimitz Avenue at its Intersection with Osborn Avenue - Sequoia Tract - Redwood City Area

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, stop signs on Osborn Avenue, County Road No. 507, were previously approved by this Board to stop traffic on Osborn Avenue before said traffic entered the intersection of Osborn Avenue and Nimitz Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that traffic on Nimitz Avenue also stop before entering the intersection of Osborn and Nimitz Avenues in order to provide for the orderly flow of traffic through this intersection; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that stop signs be erected to stop said traffic on Nimitz Avenue for the purpose as described above; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to install stop signs on Nimitz Avenue, County Road No. 518, in order to direct traffic on Nimitz Avenue to stop and yield the right-of-way before entering the intersection of Osborn and Nimitz Avenues.
