Honorable Board of Supervisors |
FROM: |
Steve Alms, Manager, Real Property Services Division |
SUBJECT: |
Dedication of Road Easement Over Property on Cypress Avenue in Unincorporated Moss Beach (COP 2683) |
|
Recommendation |
Accept an Easement Grant Deed from Randall and Sharon Dardanelle for road purposes over a portion of their property located on Cypress Avenue in the unincorporated area of Moss Beach. |
|
Background |
As a condition of approval of finalizing Mr. and Mrs. Dardenelle's permit for their new home, the Planning Department determined that a 20' wide road easement would be required in order to meet the current right of way standards. Mr. and Mrs. Dardenelle have agreed to grant the easement to the County. |
|
Discussion |
The easement deed is presented for the Board's acceptance. Under the terms of the contract the owners waive their right to compensation for granting the easement to the County. |
|
The Director of Public Works concurs in this recommendation. County Counsel has reviewed the agreement as to form. |
|
Vision Alignment |
Acceptance of the Easement Grant Deed keeps the commitment of responsive, effective and collaborative government and goal number 20: Government decisions are based on careful consideration of future impact, rather than temporary relief or immediate gain. Acceptance of the Easement Grant Deed contributes to this commitment and goal by providing a road easement for the benefit of the public. |
|
Fiscal Impact |
The easement is granted at no cost to the County. |
