RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 2002 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2005

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District provides coordination and Administrative support to interagency school based Family Resource Centers in Redwood City; and

WHEREAS, through its Family Resource Centers located at Taft, Fair Oaks, Hoover and Kennedy schools, human services, health services, educational support, and community development activities are provided to a community of 2,000 residents; and

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the Redwood City School District entered into an Agreement on December 5, 2002 to provide counseling services at the Family Resource Centers; and

WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District as fiscal agent for the collaborative that supports the Family Resource Centers will reimburse San Mateo County for part of the salary and benefits of these positions; and

WHEREAS, this Amendment to the Agreement is for partial reimbursement of salaries and benefits for the five Psychiatric Social Workers in the amount of $202,421, for the Fiscal Year 2003-04; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of an Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved the same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of This Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
