RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT COUNTY MANAGER TO REJECT BID PACKAGE 4 BID, REBID, AND EXECUTE DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY YOUTH SERVICES CENTER

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, The County has contracted with Turner Construction Company to provide construction management, architectural and engineering services for the San Mateo County Youth Services Center; and;

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has approved the plans and specifications for the project and authorized the Assistant County Manager to set the bid openings; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to reject the single bid for Bid Package 4 (underground utilities), rebid, and execute documents as soon as possible;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED the Assistant County Manager is authorized to reject the bid related to underground utilities, set the time to rebid, and execute the revision order and assignment necessary for award thereof up to a total amount of $3.5 million for the San Mateo County Youth Services Center.
