RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH FRANCHISE TAX BOARD FOR COLLECTION SERVICES FOR THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and ratification an agreement with Franchise Tax Board for collection of various accounts, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, which provides for collection services for the period commencing June 1, 2004, and ending January 1, 2006, for a total obligation of $200,000; and

WHEREAS, the Employee and Public Services Director has recommended that the County approve the contract in the amount of $200,000 for a period of 19 months from June 1, 2004 through January 1, 2006; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, a form of such agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has examined and approved said agreement and extension as to form and content and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreement with Franchise Tax Board for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
