    RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
    AGREEMENT WITH COLUMBIA ULTIMATE BUSINESS SYSTEMS FOR BILL/INVOICE PRINTING AND MAILING SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Board previously directed the President of the Board to sign an agreement with Columbia Ultimate Business Systems for bill/invoice printing and mailing of collection letters and dog/cat notices, according to the terms and conditions contained in said agreement, and

 

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the agreement, to provide bill/invoice printing and mailing services to increase the amount by $25,000, for a total obligation of $150,000 per year to cover an increase in the number of collection notices mailed for outstanding debts owed to the County; and

 

WHEREAS, the Employee and Public Services Director has recommended that the County extend the term of this contract for an additional two years from June 1, 2004 through May 31, 2006; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, a form of such amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has examined and approved said agreement and extension as to form and content and desires to enter into same:

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors authorizes the Director of Employee and Public Services to execute said amendment to the agreement with Columbia Ultimate Business Systems for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
