RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF A 1996 DODGE 3500 VAN TO
THE EAST PALO ALTO MINISTERS ACTION OUTREACH, A NON-PROFIT AGENCY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office wishes to donate a 1996 Dodge 3500 Van to the East Palo Alto Ministers Action Outreach, a non-profit agency; and

WHEREAS, the Ministers Action Outreach is a non-denominational alliance of local ministers of all faiths which concentrates on reducing crime and violence within the community, and builds relationships with youth and young adults in danger of heading down a path of gang affiliation, drug use and violence; and

WHEREAS, said donation has an estimated worth of $4,025.00, and is for a valuable public purpose, namely to be used to assist the Ministers Action Outreach mission in the "Pastors on Patrol" project; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Sheriff to authorize said donation on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so; and

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the donation on one van to the East Palo Alto Ministers Action Outreach, a non-profit agency, worth approximately $4,025, on behalf of the County of San Mateo.
