RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FROM THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $49,939.78

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Parks Foundation (Foundation) has raised $49,939.78 in donations for the Parks and Recreation Division of the Environmental Services Agency's Volunteer Program; the purchase of radios for volunteer groups; a consultant to develop and implement a Succession Planning and Mentoring Program; and the purchase of accessories for the District's trail machines; and

WHEREAS, $15,000 of the donation will support the Division's Volunteer Program; $16,233.28 of the donation will purchase radios for the use of the Division's volunteer groups; $5,000.00 of the donation will pay for the cost of a consultant to help the Division develop and implement a Succession Planning and Mentoring Program; and $13,706.500 of the donation will purchase accessories for the Division's trail machine that will increase its effectiveness;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby approves the acceptance of the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Foundation donation in the amount of $49,939.78.
