RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SHELTER NETWORK FOR MOTEL VOUCHER PROGRAM AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 10, 2003, by Resolution No. 066043, the County authorized execution of an Agreement with Shelter Network for the Motel Voucher Program and the Transitional Housing for Families with Special Needs Program (the "Original Agreement"); and

WHEREAS, the County desires to provide additional funding support to Shelter Network to expand the number of clients served under the Motel Voucher Program and the Transitional Housing for Families with Special Needs by obligating $60,000 from CalWorks; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Original Agreement to expand the services and to increase the obligation amount by $60,000, for a total obligation of $460,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has been presented for its consideration and acceptance, a First Amendment between the County of San Mateo and Shelter Network, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said First Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
