BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHTECH SYSTEMS, INC. ("STS") FOR LICENSURE AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide licensure and support maintenance for the software group of products listed in the agreement's Schedule A for the period January 1, 2004 through June 30, 2006, for a total obligation not to exceed $185,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of an Agreement, said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same; and

WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the County to adopt the resolution and waive the Request for Proposal process due to the fact that STS developed the system and is the only company which can provide the necessary support services.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that (1) the resolution is adopted and the formal Request for Proposal process is waived; (2) the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreement and corresponding documents as is approved by the County Manager and the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
