RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH DECADE SOFTWARE COMPANY, LLC AND WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) PROCESS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement whereby Decade Software Company, LLC will continue to provide software for billing and inspection tracking for the County's environmental health programs; provide online interfaces of the database, host a website where data will be stored for publishing inspection information for public review, provide the training and implementation of Field Inspection Systems; and;

WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to waive the Request for Proposal process inasmuch as the Public Health and Environmental Protection Division has utilized the current database since 1994, and desires to continue to utilize the aforesaid database through the execution of the Agreement, this Board of Supervisors will waive the Request for Proposal (RFP) process; and;

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide software for billing and inspection tracking for the County's Environmental Health programs for the period of June 1, 2004 to May 31, 2007, for a total obligation of $443,666; and;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized to execute this Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
