RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT 1 TO AGREEMENT TV-0304-08 WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF AGING FOR OLDER AMERICANS ACT OF 1965 FOR TITLE V, SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICES EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2003-04

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby State and Federal funds provided to the County are decreased for the Senior Community Services Employment Program that provides subsidized training and employment for San Mateo County's older workers;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Amendment to Agreement TV-0304-08 and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Amendment to the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to amend the Agreement to provide a Senior Community Services Employment Program and to decrease the amount by $51,543 for a total obligation of $164,086, and to reduce the number of seniors to be served from 25 to 19, without a change in the term;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute Amendment 1 to Agreement No. TV-0304-08 for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
